Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Senior Millwright for a direct hire opportunity in a highly technical, automated manufacturing environment in Barrie, ON. This role is ideal for an experienced 433A Millwright who enjoys solving complex equipment challenges, supporting advanced fabrication systems, and mentoring other trades professionals.
As the Licensed Senior Millwright, you will work with sophisticated CNC machinery, robotics, PLC-controlled equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and automated production assets. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and align advanced CNC machines, robotic systems, PLC-driven equipment, and automated manufacturing machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime and support production targets.
- Perform preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, machine overhauls, changeovers, inspections, and equipment reliability improvements.
- Fabricate, weld, machine, and repair precision components using shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and welding tools.
- Lead continuous improvement activities, support maintenance SOP updates, recommend process improvements, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams.
- Coach, mentor, and develop millwrights, electricians, apprentices, and machine specialists while supporting a strong safety culture.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Annual salary: $96,096.00.
- Hourly rate: $46.20 per hour.
- Afternoon shift premium: $0.50 per hour.
- Schedule: 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm.
