Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Specialist to provide leadership and guidance to a team of claims professionals and support staff. The successful candidate will have strong claims experience, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to support team performance, service quality, and efficient claims handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to claims professionals and support staff.
- Review complex and escalated claims and assist with resolution.
- Monitor workflow, quality, service standards, and team performance.
- Conduct file reviews and identify coaching and development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Support process improvements and overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of claims experience.
- CIP designation is required.
- Experience with commercial auto, property, and/or general liability claims.
- Previous leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Pay: Up to $90,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Licence/Certification:
- CIP (full certificate or courses completed) (required)
