Plant Health Care Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Plant Health Care Specialist who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in helping trees and shrubs thrive on residential and commercial properties. In this role, you will monitor plant health, diagnose issues, and perform treatments as part of a professional, safety-focused tree care team.
Responsibilities
- Perform Integrated Pest Management (IPM) services for trees and shrubs, including monitoring for insects, diseases, and environmental stress.
- Apply treatments such as foliar sprays, soil injections, trunk injections, and fertilization as prescribed.
- Mix and apply pesticides and fertilizers safely, following label directions and all regulations.
- Assess and document tree and shrub health, completing accurate daily service reports.
- Communicate professionally with clients about services performed and basic plant health care recommendations.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicles in clean, safe working condition.
- Safely operate company vehicles between job sites.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong interest in plant health, arboriculture, or horticulture.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Valid Commercial Pesticide Applicator License or willingness to obtain one (training and support provided).
- Ability to identify common trees and shrubs in the region, or willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Previous experience in landscaping, plant health care, or tree care.

- Competitive hourly wage, with overtime paid after 44 hours per week.
