Part Time Overnight Direct Support Professional: 20 hours/week x2 positions
Community Living St. Marys and Area is a dedicated, community-based agency supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live inclusive and meaningful lives. We partner with people, families, and communities to provide services that foster independence, inclusion, and well-being.
A man in St Marys is currently seeking someone to provide 10 hour overnight shifts (10pm-8am) on a regular 4-week rotation to include every other weekend. The ideal candidates will value teaching skills to independence, and have confidence in their skills and abilities.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- A belief in citizenship and the value of strong relationships
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A respect for all to make their own choices
- Minimum Grade 12 or high school equivalent, with preference given to those with DSW or other applicable post-secondary education (CYW, SSW, EA)*
- A clean Vulnerable Sector Record**
- A current, valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direct assistance and support based on the needs of the person and as directed by the support plan and/or life plan
- Provides clear and unbiased guidance to support people in making informed choices
- Participates in ongoing training and reflective practices
- Completes all daily administrative duties as assigned
