Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
· Disassembly and reassembly of production pipes, pumps, and valves pipes and perform necessary cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling of these pieces of equipment.
· Scrub processing tanks and vats and assist with cleaning other areas of the facility.
· Clean dust, soil, oil, and grease from mixing equipment, machinery, overhead pipes, and conveyors.
· Complete basic preventive maintenance of gaskets, seals,” O’’ rings plates etc. on all product contact surfaces as needed of fluid milk and milk by-products.
· Perform basic housekeeping to include clean floors, walls, ceiling, air vents, lights, etc., of the plant, equipment, and exterior of all equipment.
· Ensure machinery and equipment are clean, sanitized and in good working condition before and after use.
· Move raw materials, finished products and packaging materials to Production area.
· Operate packaging machinery.
· Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers.
· Load packaging materials into machines.
· Move filled containers from conveyors onto skids.
· Manually pack dairy products into boxes or other containers.
· Check products and packaging for basic quality defects.
· Ensure the work area is kept clean, tidy, and organized.
· Advise management of safety concerns and machinery and product quality issues.
· Practice proper hand washing techniques.
· Advise Production management of any deviation from standard practices.
· Provide input to develop new processes as part of continuous improvement.
· Strict adherence to all Company established procedures and policies, including Food Handling, Health and Safety, WHMIS and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Working Conditions:
· Standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling
· Ability to carry/lift 30 lbs.
· Exposure to cold and wet environments
· Moderate computer use
*** Pay varies depending on the experience.
Pay: $18.25-$18.50 per hour
