About the Role: City Furniture is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service, driving sales, and creating a welcoming environment for customers. This position requires a friendly personality, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers and assist with inquiries to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Provide exceptional sales service to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a tidy and well-organized sales floor.
- Identify and report any damaged or incomplete products, and assist with repairs as needed.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
- Go above and beyond to drive sales and build customer loyalty.
- Stay informed about product offerings and options to effectively advise customers.
- Process returns and manage customer complaints efficiently.
- Follow inventory control procedures.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of similar experience in Furniture and Appliances sales
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Proficient in English with basic math skills.
- Knowledge of customer and market dynamics.
- Experience with POS transactions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly and energetic personality with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to handle pressure and resolve complaints promptly.
- Flexible availability for various shifts.
- High school diploma; a degree in Marketing or a related field is a plus.
