Job Summary
The Gift Shop Sales Associate is responsible for providing support to the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation Gift Shop located in the Lloydminster Hospital. This includes all the high-profile public fundraising events of the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation. She/he reports directly to the Gift Shop Manager. She/he will work very closely with the entire staff team, supporting various functions of the development efforts. As this is a casual position, the hours might be irrugluarly scheduled and could be to help cover evening and weekend shifts including holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and closing of the Gift Shop.
- Providing customer service in the Gift Shop & to patients, visitors, & employees at the hospital.
- Setting up televisions and phones for patients in the hospital.
- Stocking the vending machines and confectionary.
- Pricing shipment of stock when it arrives.
- Keeping the Gift Shop clean and organized.
LRHF Fundraising Events
- Assist with the set up and take down of an event.
- Work closely with team members to ensure that “flavor” of the event is maintained.
- Provide assistance where need i.e. registration, clean up, serving and decorating.
Scope:
The Gift Shop Sales Associate is a pivotal role within the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation as she/he interacts with all elements of the organization. She/he must be comfortable working behind the scenes of the organization.
She/he will be called upon to use tact and good judgment in many situations. The Gift Shop Sales Associate must understand and honour the critical role volunteers play in the Foundation.
The Gift Shop Sales Associate will need to support and build relationships with diverse groups of people. This includes volunteer groups and individuals in the community, LRHF board members, and a large variety of suppliers and vendors involved in staging a major event. In all her/his dealings, the Gift Shop Sales Associate must be conscious of the impact of her/his actions as they relate to the image of the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Exceptional interpersonal communication and conflict management skills
· Upbeat, positive, outgoing, personable and able to relate well with diverse populations and age groups
· Good understanding of and the ability to employ stress management strategies to enable one to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
· Excellent verbal, written and keyboard skills
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Previous experience working within the retail industry would be an asset
Pay: $16.00-$16.50 per hour
