Skin Essence Medspa is a client-focused, results-driven medical spa in Whitby. We provide advanced aesthetic treatments in a warm, welcoming, and professional environment.
We are seeking one motivated and experienced individual to join our team in a combined role as a Part-Time Medical Aesthetician and Lead Follow-Up Coordinator.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing medical aesthetic treatments while also managing new client inquiries, following up with leads, booking consultations, and helping convert prospective clients into appointments.
About the Position
This is one position that combines hands-on medical aesthetic services with client communication, sales, and coordinator lead.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Medical Aesthetician who is confident performing treatments, knowledgeable about the medical aesthetics industry, comfortable speaking with prospective clients, and motivated to help grow the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Aesthetician Responsibilities
- Perform medical aesthetic treatments, including facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, chemical peels, laser hair removal, RF skin tightening, and other services offered by the clinic.
- Conduct detailed skin consultations and assessments.
- Create personalized treatment plans based on each client’s skin concerns, needs, and goals.
- Explain treatment benefits, preparation, aftercare, expected results, and recommended maintenance.
- Educate clients on professional skincare products and appropriate at-home skincare routines.
- Recommend suitable treatments, treatment packages, memberships, and skincare products.
- Monitor client progress and maintain accurate treatment notes and documentation.
- Provide a warm, professional, and memorable client experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, sanitized, and fully stocked treatment room.
- Follow all clinic treatment protocols, safety procedures, sanitation standards, and infection-control guidelines.
- Assist with front desk duties, appointment booking, and general clinic operations when required.
- Support the clinic’s social media by helping showcase treatments, results, promotions, and educational content.
Lead Follow-Up Coordinator Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to new client inquiries by phone, text, email, website, and social media.
- Proactively follow up with new and existing client inquiries using a confident, persuasive, and results-driven sales approach. Identify additional treatments, packages, memberships, or skincare products that may benefit the client.
- Answer questions about treatments, pricing, packages, promotions, and appointment availability.
- Build trust with prospective clients and help guide them toward the most suitable service or consultation.
- Book consultations and treatment appointments.
- Follow up with leads who have inquired, missed a consultation, cancelled, or have not yet booked.
- Reconnect with existing clients who may be due for maintenance treatments.
- Keep accurate notes of client communication, interests, follow-up dates, and booking outcomes.
- Work toward clinic booking, sales, and lead-conversion goals.
- Provide updates to the clinic owners regarding lead activity, client feedback, and results.
- Maintain client confidentiality and handle all information professionally.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or certification as a Medical Aesthetician.
- Previous experience performing medical aesthetic treatments.
- Strong knowledge of skincare, treatment protocols, contraindications, and aftercare.
- Familiarity with services commonly performed in a medical spa.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, lead follow-up, or client coordination.
- Confidence communicating with clients by phone, text, email, and in person.
- Ability to clearly explain treatments and recommend suitable services.
- Strong consultation, sales, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable recommending and selling skincare products and treatment packages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage treatments, appointments, inquiries, and follow-up tasks.
- Professional, dependable, positive, and team-oriented.
- Goal-oriented and motivated to contribute to clinic growth.
- Comfortable using booking software, CRM systems, email, text messaging, and social media.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to client safety.
- Available to work some evenings and Saturdays.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working in a medical spa, cosmetic clinic, dermatology clinic, or skincare environment.
- Experience with laser hair removal, micro needling, chemical peels, RF skin tightening, and advanced facial treatments.
- Experience converting leads into consultations and appointments.
- Experience meeting sales, retail, booking, or conversion targets.
- Familiarity with professional skincare products and customized home-care recommendations.
- Experience using Instagram and creating aesthetic-related social media content.

Position: Part-Time Medical Aesthetician & Lead Follow-Up Coordinator
Location: Whitby, Ontario
Employment Type: Part-time
Schedule: Weekdays, some evenings, and Saturdays as required
This is one combined position. The successful candidate will be expected to perform both medical aesthetic treatments and lead follow-up responsibilities.
