Qualifications:
● Minimum 4+ years of experience in real estate law or conveyancing
● Proficiency in English both verbal and written
● Familiarity with the British Columbia land title system and the Land Title Office processes
● Exceptional organizational and time management skills
● Meticulous attention to detail
● Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
● Full computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Suite
● Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
● Adaptable and productive in a challenging work environment
Responsibilities:
● Preparing conveyance for review by the lawyer
● Conducting title searches and due diligence investigations
● Reviewing real estate documents, including purchase agreements, covenants and leases and identifying material terms
● Drafting simple real estate documents
● Communicating with clients, real estate agents, and other parties involved in transactions
● Coordinating and facilitating real estate closings
● Managing and organizing physical and electronic files
● Assisting with the preparation of legal documents and filings
● Handling client inquiries and providing updates on case progress
● Maintaining accurate records and documentation
● Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
● Providing support to lawyers and senior paralegals as needed
● Handle administrative tasks such as filing, organizing, and scheduling
Proficiency:
Segev LLP utilizes various applications and programs to enhance our legal services. While familiarity with the following is beneficial, training will be provided:
● GoVeyance (Digital conveyancing Solution)
● NetDocuments (Document Management System)
● Appara (Digital Corporate Maintenance System)
● CosmoLex (Accounting and Billing Platform)
● DocuSign (E-Signatures)
