We are looking for a senior ocean export professional to lead and manage our export operations in a fast-paced logistics environment.
As part of the Solutions Division, you will act as the escalation point for complex shipments and operational issues. You will be responsible for the execution, oversight, and continuous improvement of ocean export shipments. This includes maintaining and building on our strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and other service providers.
You will work closely with Operations, Pricing, and Vendors to ensure operational feasibility, resolve issues quickly, and maintain strong process discipline across the team. This is a hands-on operational leadership role focused on execution, team management, and problem-solving.
MUST-HAVES
- 5+ years of international freight forwarding experience with strong ocean export focus
- Deep understanding of full-cycle ocean export operations and documentation
- Prior experience leading or mentoring a team
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills across internal teams, carriers, and vendors
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the export team, including training, performance support, and workload balancing
- Act as escalation point for complex files and operational issues; step in to resolve when required
- Validate rates and routing with Pricing to ensure operational feasibility before execution. Identify and resolve cost, rate, and billing issues to protect margins
- Own vendor engagement for ocean exports, including carriers and service providers. Provide feedback on vendor performance and support better partner selection
- Enforce processes, system usage, and data accuracy across all export activities and drive workflow improvements to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Desire to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Experience preparing and analyzing operational reports to monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

WORK FROM HOME
