- Draft proceedings and pleadings: originating applications, defences, case protocols, inscriptions for judgment (including by default), and applications in the course of proceedings;
- Draft demand letters (mises en demeure), legal opinions, and research memoranda in French and in English;
- Prepare and conduct examinations (prior to and after judgment), including preparing question plans and witness preparation;
- Appear before the Superior Court and the Court of Québec, in the practice division, at case management conferences, and at hearings on the merits;
- Handle post-judgment execution: seizures, examinations after judgment, and registrations at the RDPRM and the Land Register;
- Prepare exhibits, books of authorities, and trial binders in accordance with court directives;
- Manage deadlines rigorously (Code of Civil Procedure delays, case protocols, court orders) using the firm's calendaring systems;
- Communicate with clients on file progress, and support billing and trust accounting through timely docketing;
- Assist, as needed, with corporate-commercial mandates such as commercial leases and contract review.
