Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, experience in food and beverage service, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. Previous experience with POS systems such as Micros POS and food safety standards is highly valued. This role offers an engaging environment where hospitality skills are appreciated and developed.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with recipes and presentation standards
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their dining experience
- Use POS systems like Visual Touch POS to process orders and payments accurately
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling regulations at all times
- Restock bar supplies as needed while monitoring inventory levels
- Assist in serving food when required, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Handle customer inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food service and alcohol consumption
Experience
- Proven experience working as a bartender or in a similar food service role within the hospitality industry
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Visual Touch POS or equivalent cash register technology
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly while adhering to legal regulations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, change calculation, and order management
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates willing to learn
- Ability to manage time efficiently during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail
