About Royal Badminton Club
Royal Badminton Club is one of Canada’s fastest-growing badminton facilities, serving thousands of members and athletes across the GTA. We are committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience through professional service, high-quality coaching, and a welcoming community.
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our Etobicoke location. Since many of our members are Chinese-speaking families, Mandarin and/or Cantonese fluency is strongly preferred and will be given first priority.
Responsibilities
- Welcome members and guests with a professional and friendly attitude.
- Handle court bookings, memberships, and program registrations.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries.
- Assist members with our booking software and payment processing.
- Process memberships, drop-ins, merchandise, and coaching payments.
- Maintain an organized and clean reception area.
- Coordinate with coaches and management regarding schedules and programs.
- Help parents and new members with program information.
- Resolve basic customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Assist with opening or closing procedures during evening shifts.
- Support club operations and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin and/or Cantonese (preferred).
- Comfortable communicating in English.
- Previous customer service or receptionist experience is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and booking software.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for sports or badminton is an advantage but not required.
Schedule
- Primarily evening shifts (approximately 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
- Weekend availability required.
- Additional hours may be available during tournaments, camps, and special events.
