The role
We’re hiring a skilled Landscape Construction Lead Hand who takes pride in craftsmanship and helps keep the job site running efficiently. You’ll support the Crew Leader in daily execution, guide Apprentices, and ensure install standards are met on high-end projects. This role is perfect for someone ready to take on more responsibility, lead by example, and help deliver polished, professional results.

Responsibilities
- Review daily scope with the Crew Leader and support execution of the work plan
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications for accurate installation
- Lead sections of work on site and help direct Apprentices and crew members
- Assist with and perform installation of landscape construction features to Niagara Outdoor standards
- Maintain job site organization, cleanliness, and end-of-day wrap-up
- Perform quality checks on completed work and address deficiencies proactively
- Operate equipment safely and ensure proper care of tools and materials
- Support safety compliance and correct unsafe behaviour when observed
- Complete required daily documentation (labour tracking, materials, site notes)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years landscape construction experience
- Secondary School Diploma
- Valid G license (AR license considered an asset)
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Post-secondary education in the landscape field is an asset
- Additional relevant certifications or industry training are an asset
Compensation: $25- $32/hour, based on experience (discussed at first interview)
