Most of our work consist of simple hook and drop freight, covering routes in Calgary, Winnipeg and British Columbia.
Duties
- Operate tractor-trailer combinations safely and efficiently on long-haul routes across Canada, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial transport regulations.
- Coordinate driving schedules with team partner to maximize efficiency while maintaining legal Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to verify the mechanical soundness and safety of tractor and trailer units.
- Accurately complete and maintain ELD logs, trip reports, fuel receipts, and inspection records as per company and CVOR requirements.
- Plan and execute trips by reviewing routes, weather, and road conditions to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
- Verify load count, condition, and securement before departure; ensure cargo integrity throughout transit.
- Maintain professional communication with dispatchers, co-driver, shippers, and receivers at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues, delays, accidents, or cargo discrepancies immediately to the operations or safety department.
- Follow all company safety procedures and defensive driving practices to ensure the safety of self, co-driver, and the public.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at customer locations, scales, and inspection points.
- Support co-driver in managing trip schedules, fueling, paperwork, and rest periods to ensure seamless operation across shifts.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws governing commercial vehicles
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently during routes and deliveries
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $8,800.00-$9,800.00 per month
