Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The Apprentice Carpenter will work under the supervision of experienced carpenters to develop skills in blueprint reading, concrete forming, restoration, siding, and the use of hand and power tools. This role provides a valuable opportunity to learn the trade while contributing to diverse building projects in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution.
- Participate in concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks to ensure quality craftsmanship.
- Support restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged structures using appropriate techniques.
- Install siding and other exterior finishes according to project specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling to support construction activities.
- Engage in woodworking tasks such as framing, cutting, and assembling components.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on various construction tasks, gaining practical experience across multiple trades including welding and concrete finishing.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction principles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and woodworking is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments.
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety standards and detail-oriented craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions from experienced team members.
- Prior experience or coursework related to carpentry, concrete forming, siding, restoration, or welding is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $25.00-$36.92 per hour
