Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with strong mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service skills. The Service Advisor plays a vital role in building customer loyalty and driving sales through upselling quality services.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a welcoming environment
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Explain recommended services clearly, providing detailed estimates and timelines
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle needs and customer preferences
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of service orders, customer interactions, and vehicle histories
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote future business
- Keep the service area organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards
