Canmore Plumbing & Heating is growing and we’re looking for hardworking, reliable individuals to join our team. Whether you're an experienced Journeyperson, a registered Apprentice, considering a career in the trades, or looking for hands-on labour work, we have opportunities for all levels.
At Canmore Plumbing & Heating, we provide a wide range of plumbing and heating services across the Bow Valley. Our work includes residential and commercial service plumbing, with a strong focus on heating service calls during the winter months. In addition to service work, we have a dedicated new construction team working on custom homes, multi-family builds, and commercial projects. We're looking for motivated individuals to join our crew, whether you're helping keep homes warm in the winter or building them from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Show up on time, ready to work with a positive attitude
- Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Use tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and heating systems
- Support both service and new construction teams as needed
- Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and clients
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
- Take care of company tools, vehicles, and materials
- Be willing to work in cold weather and respond to heating service calls during winter months
- Continually learn and grow within the trade, especially if pursuing an apprenticeship
Qualifications
- No prior plumbing experience required — training provided on the job
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Punctual and reliable – shows up on time and ready to work
- Physically fit and able to handle manual labour (lifting, standing, working outdoors, etc.)
- Comfortable working in various conditions, including cold weather during winter months
- Basic knowledge of tools is an asset, but not required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Safety certifications (e.g. WHMIS, First Aid) are an asset, but not mandatory
- A respectful attitude toward coworkers, supervisors, and clients
Pay Scale
- Standard industry pay rates will apply to apprentices and journey people in the field
- Without qualifications, pay scale would be variable depending on relevant experience
