Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills, including blueprint reading, carpentry, masonry, and the use of various hand and power tools. This role involves working on diverse projects such as concrete forming, framing, cabinet installation, flooring, roofing, siding, and more. The candidate will contribute to high-quality construction and renovation projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on every project.
Duties
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project specifications
- Perform framing, concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and tile laying with precision
- Install cabinets, flooring, siding, roofing, and other building components using appropriate tools and techniques
- Conduct construction painting, caulking, and finishing work to meet quality standards
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively
- Conduct heavy lifting and material handling to support construction activities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation an asset
- Experience with framing, concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, woodworking, roofing, siding, and tile laying
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment
- Ability to perform rebar installation and framing accurately
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks with safety awareness
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for teamwork and project coordination
