Career Contacts is supporting our client, a well-established commercial construction leader, in the search for a Project Coordinator to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who enjoys coordinating material logistics and keeping projects moving from preconstruction through fabrication and delivery. The successful candidate will bring 1-3 years of hands-on project coordination experience.

Compensation: $70,000 – $85,000/year (based on experience)

What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Provide material and specialty product alternatives and options during the project life cycle
- Coordinate material deliveries with respect to site requirements and restrictions
- Collaborate with the GC on upselling and repricing change requests
- Liaise between the GC and BIM model team to ensure accuracy
- Manage preconstruction submittals and LEED requirements such as product data, firestop, and product samples
- Analyze blueprints, specification lists, and other relevant documents to extract scope of work
- Work within deadlines to prepare estimates and calculate material take-offs
- Work in tandem with office, fabrication, installation, and shipping teams to maintain proper schedules
- Liaise with detailers and clients to ensure shop drawings are approved for production
- Identify and assist in resolving issues arising on the job site and in the fabrication shop
- Submit accurate documentation to the fabrication team
- Follow up on bid proposals for project awarding and scheduling
- Coordinate selection and purchase of materials and services, including administration of purchase orders
- Maintain detailed records of ongoing projects and report to the Project Manager for progress invoicing
- Review site logistics where applicable
- Review, process, and track RFIs
What You'll Bring:
- 1-3 years' hands-on experience as a project coordinator
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or construction management
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, construction estimating software, AutoCAD, Plexxis, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize work effectively
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Provincial Building Codes and Building Envelope
