Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Edo Japan in Londonderry Mall in a Full time Permanent Cook/Front Service staff/Cashier role. This role includes providing exceptional food service, cooking Edo Japans signature meals as well as preparing sushi, Serving customers and taking orders at the POS, communicating with customers, re-stocking, and ensuring the front and back of the restaurant and customer areas are clean and maintained. The successful candidate will ensure a high standard of food safety and and attention to quality as well as having a good work ethic and be willing to learn inside a fast paced environment. Salary will be dependant on experience level however we will also train. This position offers an opportunity to learn new skills while contributing to provide a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare Edo Japan signature meals on the grill as well as prepare sushi and serve a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring satisfaction
- Handle food with proper safety and hygiene practices, adhering to all food safety regulations
- Assist with food presentation and plating to ensure visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Restaurant and Kitchen areas
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and preparation
- Support team members during busy periods, including assisting with meal assembly and service
- Take customer orders and input into the POS system with effective communication skills and customer service.
- Communicate with the team and the kitchen to ensure meals ordered are prepared correctly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or retail environments is preferred however not required as we will train.
- Knowledge of food preparation and POS order taking preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills (Must have good English speaking and reading ability) and teamwork orientation
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays is required.

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
