Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction management processes, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires effective communication with various stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and team members.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage project schedules using construction management software such as Raken, Jonas Premier and Bluebeam
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality control measures.
- Implement budgeting strategies and manage project costs effectively.
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including change orders and daily reports.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and promote a safe working environment for all personnel.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising construction sites.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and Primavera for project scheduling and estimating.
- Familiarity with contracts, budgeting processes, quality control measures, and construction estimating techniques.
- Strong understanding of pipeline construction processes and relevant industry regulations.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills combined with the ability to interpret technical documents effectively.
- Experience using tools such as an ohmmeter for quality assurance checks is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
