About the Position
Working within our Grip and Cable, our Crew Members ensure production equipment is appropriately pulled, shipped, received, assessed for quality and safety for on set use, in a timely and efficient manner. This front facing role within our busy rental warehouse, plays an integral part in reinforcing the Company as being the supplier of choice.
Regular business hours, typically weekdays 8:00 am until 5:00 pm or as directed, located out of our Browns Line location.
A Day in the Life at MBS:
- Pull and ship orders following Grip and Cable shipping processes as required.
- Receive rental orders and purchases following Grip, and Cable receiving processes as required.
- Maintain positive and courteous customer relationships.
- Conduct all duties expeditiously in a safe and careful manner to minimize damage.
- Perform RTPro functions as directed by Department Head, could include staging/scanning/printing barcodes, status inquiries, and quality control activities.
- Applying a strong attention to detail to perform testing and maintenance on equipment as assigned.
- Identify issues and make recommendations (including damaged equipment on shelf, defective bar codes, internal communication issues, paperwork, customer relations, etc.).
Must Haves:
- Some previous experience in a warehouse environment.
- Some previous experience in customer service.
- Hands-on film production experience is considered an asset.
- Enjoy working in a diverse team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Reliable, and available to do overtime, including weekends, to support client needs as needed.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job; maneuver awkward rental gear and able to consistently lift average 60 lbs. as required.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being active while working
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness of all processes.
- Some knowledge of computers, including inventory software, preferred.
