Now hiring an experienced Heavy Duty Technician for a full-time, stable opportunity in Calgary. This role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment in both shop and field environments.
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician with strong experience working on excavators, loaders, trucks, and related heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidate is confident troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
Earn $40$50/hr depending on experience
Overtime paid after 44 hours/week

Diagnose, maintain, and repair excavators, loaders, trucks, and other heavy equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and component repairs
Identify equipment faults using OEM diagnostic software and electronic tools
Repair or replace engines, transmissions, hydraulic components, electrical systems, and other major assemblies
Complete equipment testing to confirm safe and reliable operation
Respond to service requirements in both shop and field environments
Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation in computer systems
Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer specifications
Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment repair and maintenance experience
Strong diagnostic abilities across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems
Experience working on excavators, loaders, trucks, and related heavy-duty equipment
Ability to complete repairs and maintenance independently
Familiarity with OEM diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment
Engine repair or rebuilding experience is considered an asset
Must have own tools
Valid drivers licence required
Varied heavy-duty equipment work, including diagnostics, maintenance, and major repairs
