After many years, our Kitchen Manager is leaving us, moving on to a new adventure. Though we will miss him, we are excited to welcome someone new to our Management Team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to manage a fast paced kitchen with a passion for putting their culinary skills to work, creating new recipes and specials, using fresh ingredients while continuing to serve our customer favorites. We are looking for that special person who enjoys working within a team, while managing our kitchen in a positive, professional manner. This is a working management position, your time will be split between managerial duties, prepping and leading your team on line.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory/cost control, ordering food and supply minimizing waste, accurate reporting costs assisting with increasing profitability
- Commitment to excel our food program
- Develop and maintain staff product knowledge through ongoing training, and tastings
- Foster a positive work environment while, inspiring and motivating staff to achieve their highest potential
- Scheduling, shift coverage, compliance, monitoring hours including overtime, time off requests, sick days
- Approach the workplace with an ownership mindset, take responsibility for decisions that impact guests and team members, actively supporting the company’s goals
- Maintain open communication with the team as a whole, including, general manager, owners, front of house manager and head brewer
- Attend weekly management meetings and meetings as needed
- Monitor food production processes to uphold consistency, presentation standards, and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Minimum two years leading kitchen teams with effective leadership and team management skills
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations such as food preparation, cooking techniques
- Passionate about food, including menu/recipe development
- Butchering/knife skills
- Experience with operating a sous vide, curing and smoking
- Ability to work on the line with your team
- Knowledge of food safety/sanitation protocols, and dietary requirements
- Experience with inventory control systems, cost management strategies and shift scheduling
- Strong team building and interpersonal communication
- Computer skills
