Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Tire Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing commercial vehicles by installing, repairing, and maintaining tires to ensure safety and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, experience with automotive repair, and excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace tires on commercial vehicles using hand tools and power tools
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on tires and related vehicle components
- Diagnose tire-related issues and recommend appropriate solutions to customers
- Operate heavy lifting equipment safely to handle large tires and wheels
- Conduct wheel alignments and balancing as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety standards are met
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
- Assist in sales of tires and related products by advising customers on best options for their needs
- Service truck experience is a asset
- OTR experience is a asset
Qualifications
- Dealership experience or mechanic experience preferred but not required
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive repair and maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and tire-changing equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Knowledge of tire installation, repair, and maintenance procedures
- Experience working with automotive or commercial vehicle systems is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering
- to safety protocols
- Prior experience with sales or upselling products is advantageous
