Woodstock Home Hardware Building Centre is seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the efficient receiving, handling, storage, and movement of merchandise while providing exceptional support to both customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process warehouse shipments and vendor-direct orders accurately and efficiently.
- Organize, stock, and maintain inventory within the warehouse and sales floor areas.
- Assist customers with product loading and inquiries while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Support store operations through a sales-oriented approach and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, dollies, and ladders, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve operational and customer service goals.
- Participate in inventory management and other warehouse-related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Forklift certification and/or demonstrated forklift operating experience required.
- Previous retail experience, preferably in paint and paint-related products.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Comfortable performing repetitive bending, lifting, carrying, and other physically demanding tasks.
- Experience using ladders, pallet jacks, hand carts, and dollies.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Availability
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
