Overview
We are seeking a dining room cashier to join our hospitality team. This role is vital in providing exceptional guest service by accurately and promptly handling dining room guests. The ideal candidates will have experience in food service, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering a positive customer experience. Prior restaurant or hotel experience is a plus, along with familiarity with cash handling. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist them to the seating area
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing clear information about reservations and menu information
- Communicate effectively with a;; staff to ensure smooth operation of dining
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining and cash areas
- Provide excellent guest service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards to uphold the restaurant’s quality standards
- Assist with other hospitality duties as needed to support team operations
- Help servers with daily tasks including and not limited to clearing tables, clean and sanitize all areas
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel hospitality preferred
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if required
- Must be able to read and write in English as we are old school and do not use computers
- Must be able to speak French
