Job Overview
The Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Team Lead is a vital role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of supportive housing programs. This position involves supervising staff, managing program activities, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to residents. The Team Lead will coordinate efforts across various teams to promote stability, independence, and well-being among individuals experiencing housing insecurity. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in program management, and a commitment to community development.
Responsibilities
o Monitor and report all program, staffing and client progress to direct supervisor.
o Maintain contract requirements set forth by community funders.
o Meet required deadlines set forth by agency investment groups, funders. Executive Director.
o Maintain relations with Keyano Social work programs to accept and supervise student practicums as well as take part in stakeholder meetings in evaluation of programs in the community.
o Maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual, program and financial reporting for funded contracts.
o Assist and support finance with CPH monthly financial contract reporting.
o Develop and implement innovative strategies to improve supervised programs.
o Conduct annual staff evaluations.
o Guide, train, and support their team in a motivated environment to assist our agency in fulling its community mission.
o Post, program staff vacancies, participate in interviews and present recommendations for hiring.
o Develop and implement staff schedules.
o Conduct mediation and debriefing platforms for COH staff when needed.
o Assume supervision of other COH programs in absence of said program team lead.
o Providing support, advocacy and resource brokering to the chronic homeless
o Assessing and addressing client needs as a member of a team in a client focused, holistic fashion.
o Conducting assessments and intake interviews with clients in a variety of locations
o Assesses client’s functional, income, employment, and housing status to determine resource eligibility.
o Participate in conducting research activities.
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience in social services or community programs, with a demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Strong administrative skills including budgeting, documentation, and data management.
- Experience in program management within supportive housing or related fields is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage residents, staff, and community partners professionally.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of housing policies, regulations, and best practices for supportive housing environments.
- Commitment to promoting equity, dignity, and empowerment for vulnerable populations.
Qualifications:
o Degree or Diploma in Social Services or related field or equivalent combination of education
o 2 years directly related managerial experience in a supportive living program.
o Knowledge and understanding of incorporating Truth and Reconciliation as a case management practice.
o Advanced knowledge of issues relating to activities of street involved people.
o Experience addressing the needs of homeless individuals.
o Extensive knowledge of resources and services available within the community specific to homelessness.
o Ability to work flexible hours which may include overtime, evenings, and weekends.
o Participate in a rotational schedule with the COH on call phone.
o Valid Standard First Aid Course
o Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Mediation Skills is an asset.
o Knowledge base of regions housing scope, Alberta Tenancy Act and RTA.
o Class 5 drivers’ license and daily access to a vehicle. Must be willing to transport clients.
o Acceptable Criminal Record Check.

Pay: $38.00-$39.00 per hour
