Prolift Crane & Hoist Inc. is a fast-growing overhead crane service, manufacturing, engineering, installation, and inspection company serving customers across Southern Ontario. Although we are a young company, our team brings collectively over 100 years of experience in the overhead crane industry.
We manufacture, install, service, and support overhead crane systems for industrial customers, and we are continuing to grow quickly. At the end of the year, we are relocating into a facility approximately four times the size of our current location, giving us greater production capacity, improved customer support, and more opportunity for our sales team.

Position Summary
Prolift Crane & Hoist Inc. is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Territory Sales Representative to support our growth across Southern Ontario.
In this role, you will be responsible for meeting with both existing and new customers to discuss their overhead crane service needs, inspection requirements, repair opportunities, modernization projects, and new equipment requirements.
Your primary directive will be to hunt down new service accounts, build strong relationships with industrial customers, and help grow Prolift’s presence in the Southern Ontario market. This role will require a high level of outbound activity, including prospecting, cold calling, site visits, follow-ups, and relationship building.
You will also be responsible for handling website leads and other inbound opportunities as they come in.
This is a hands-on sales role. During your first 3–6 months, you will be supported and shadowed by either the General Manager or President when meeting with customers. We will provide clear direction on the types of customers, regions, and industries we want you to focus on, while also teaching you the technical knowledge required to be successful in the overhead crane industry.
What You Will Learn

- Selling overhead crane service, inspections, repairs, and maintenance programs
- Selling new overhead crane systems and related equipment
- Understanding overhead crane systems from a technical and practical standpoint
- Estimating full-scope projects on both the service and new equipment side
- Identifying customer needs and matching them with practical, cost-effective solutions
- Working with operations, engineering, installation, and service teams to support customer requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for:
- Generating new leads for both overhead crane service and new equipment opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new customers
- Expanding existing customer relationships and increasing share of wallet
- Meeting with customers in person to understand their needs, equipment, and facilities
- Communicating with end users by phone, email, and in person regarding requirements
- Following up consistently on quoted work and open opportunities
- Working closely with the Prolift team to learn how to estimate service work, repairs, installations, and new equipment projects
- Becoming increasingly self-sufficient in the estimating and sales process
- Gathering site information using a measuring tape, laser measure, photos, and field notes
- Visiting industrial facilities and job sites throughout Southern Ontario
- Using a scissor lift when required to gather information safely, which may occur a few times per year
- Representing Prolift in a professional, ethical, and customer-focused manner
- Supporting the development of Prolift’s sales and marketing strategy as the company continues to grow
Requirements
The successful candidate must have:
- A valid driver’s license
- A reliable personal vehicle
- Strong outside sales ability
- Excellent customer service skills
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to generate leads and manage follow-ups
- Strong communication and conversational skills
- The ability to negotiate effectively and professionally
- Comfort working directly with customers in face-to-face sales environments
- The ability to learn technical products and services in a specialized industrial market
- A professional attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred Experience
The following experience would be considered an asset:
- 3+ years of outside sales experience in an industrial or B2B setting
- Previous sales experience in overhead cranes, hoists, lifting equipment, industrial equipment, manufacturing, or facility maintenance services
- 1+ year of estimating experience
- Experience selling to industrial customers, maintenance managers, plant managers, operations managers, or business owners
Compensation & Perks
This position includes:
- Base salary of $60,000 – $70,000 annually, based on experience

- Commission earnings potential of approximately $40,000 – $65,000 annually after a few years of experience

Work Environment
This is an outside sales role. The expectation is that the Territory Sales Representative will be on the road approximately 60% to 80% of the time. In the beginning, more time will be spent at the office learning the business, shadowing leadership, understanding our systems, and becoming familiar with our products and services.
As you become more comfortable and technically competent, more of your time will be spent visiting customers, generating opportunities, and growing your territory.

This person does not need to be an overhead crane expert on day one. Prolift will provide the training, support, and technical guidance required. What we need is someone who is willing to learn, take initiative, get in front of customers, and help us grow.
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
