Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep/Line Cook to join our team at Misty Pines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, making sandwiches to order, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. A strong background in food preparation and food handling is essential, along with a passion for delivering excellent food service.
The shift will be 7:30 am-4:00 pm, five days a week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Make menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Work our sandwich line and prepare sandwiches to order
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold health standards
- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth workflow
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service in a restaurant or food industry setting preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including holidays and weekends
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are essential
- Must be willing to cross-train and learn how to make espresso drinks and work the till
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
