Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, home care, and hospice environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being of clients through personalized support, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity. Prior experience in senior care, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Support patients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Help clients with daily activities such as cleaning and household chores to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Monitor and report on clients’ health status and any changes in condition
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting to ensure safety during transfers or repositioning
- Support clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments through specialized caregiving techniques
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures to prevent the spread of illness
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and dementia care
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in hospice care is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for client transfers or mobility assistance
- Prior caregiving experience demonstrating compassion, patience, and professionalism is highly desirable
- Relevant training or certifications in nursing, caregiving, or related fields will be considered an asset
