Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team. This role involves preparing high-quality sandwiches and food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining sanitation standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to company recipes and customer specifications
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide excellent customer service
- Upsell additional menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all restaurant policies related to sanitation, safety, and food quality
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Experience in cashiering or cash handling is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Kitchen experience or prior roles as a sandwich maker or in similar food preparation positions are advantageous
