Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Night Baker to join our team in creating high-quality baked goods during overnight hours. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about baking, food preparation, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Night Baker will be responsible for preparing, baking, and packaging a variety of baked products while maintaining food safety standards and ensuring the highest quality for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread, following established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with attention to detail and creativity using cake decorating techniques
- Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all baked items meet food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Package baked goods efficiently for sale or delivery while maintaining product integrity
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring ingredients and supplies needed for nightly production
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during night shifts
Requirements
- Prior experience in baking, cake decorating, or food preparation is preferred
- Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Strong skills in baking, cooking, and food presentation
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or customers (if applicable)
- Kitchen experience with familiarity in food packaging and storage practices
- Ability to work independently during night hours with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts on a consistent schedule
