Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our team at head office. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial information and support the company's overall financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile bank and other GL accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in collaboration with the finance team.
- Analyze large quantities of financial data and provide meaningful insights.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, business planning, and asset management.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Minimum Education: University Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
- Minimum Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related field or related field
- Extensive experience and knowledge in accounting systems, budgets, internal controls, business planning, and asset management.
- Strong knowledge and focus on internal controls and compliance.
- Excellent judgment, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Integrity and the ability to handle confidential financial information.
