We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Generator Mechanics to join our team in the Thunder Bay area!

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining power generation equipment in a variety of field environments. This role includes troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing routine inspections, ensuring all generators run safely and efficiently, and responding efficiently to equipment failures. The technician often works independently in remote locations throughout the Thunder Bay area, prioritizing reliability, safety, and adherence to industry standards while supporting continuous power supply for critical operations.
Duties
- Perform complex repairs and maintenance on equipment, heavy machinery, and automotive systems.
- Utilize power tools, hand tools, and schematics to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and system upgrades.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all the clients and customers.
- Engage in heavy lifting as needed to move parts or equipment safely.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians or apprentices.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background within I.C.I industry.
- Mechanical knowledge of various equipment.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications or technical training related to mechanical or electrical systems are advantageous.
- EGSA/ ICE Certificates are considered a bonus.
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
