Multi-Location Operations Manager

Mr. Pretzels is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our three busy Calgary locations at Market Mall, Southcentre Mall, and Chinook Mall.
Known for our fresh, hand-rolled pretzels, we are committed to providing consistent product quality, excellent customer service, and a positive experience for both our customers and employees.
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day operations of all three locations. We are looking for a proactive and dependable leader who can support our teams, improve operational efficiency, maintain high standards, and help drive continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
Lead, support, and motivate supervisors and employees across all three locations. Promote accountability, teamwork, consistency, and a positive workplace culture.
Operational Oversight
Ensure each location operates efficiently and consistently while maintaining high standards for food quality, cleanliness, customer service, and brand presentation.
Hiring, Training, and Development
Recruit and onboard new employees while providing ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback. Ensure all employees understand and follow company policies, procedures, recipes, and service standards.
Scheduling and Labour Management
Create and oversee employee schedules based on operational needs, sales volumes, employee availability, and labour targets. Ensure all locations are appropriately staffed while effectively managing labour costs.
Payroll Administration
Review and process payroll information accurately and on time, including employee hours, time-off requests, and any required payroll adjustments.
Inventory and Ordering
Monitor inventory levels, complete product and supply orders, reduce unnecessary waste, and ensure each location has the products and materials required for daily operations.
Equipment and Maintenance
Ensure equipment is properly maintained and in working condition. Coordinate repairs when needed and confirm backup equipment is available and operational.
Sales and Performance Management
Monitor sales, labour, waste, customer feedback, and other key performance indicators. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement action plans to help each location meet its operational and financial targets.
Customer Experience
Respond to customer inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly. Support employees in resolving issues and ensure customers consistently receive a positive experience.
Food Safety and Compliance
Ensure all locations follow food-safety requirements, health regulations, company procedures, and mall operating policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience managing multiple locations, preferably within the food and beverage, restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and team-management skills
- Experience with hiring, training, scheduling, payroll, inventory management, and performance tracking
- Ability to analyze sales and operational data and make informed business decisions
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A hands-on leadership style and willingness to support employees when needed
- Coachable, adaptable, and open to continuous learning, feedback, and improvement
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a vehicle
- Ability to travel regularly between all three Calgary locations
