Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated, highly organized, and efficient Pharmacy Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily dispensary operations, working closely with our pharmacists and entire team to provide exceptional healthcare and customer service to our community.

Key ResponsibilitiesDispensary Support & Prescription Processing
- Deliver an excellent customer service experience at both the drop-off and pick-up counters, ensuring patients feel welcomed, supported, and valued.
- Receive, input, and process prescription orders accurately using pharmacy software.
- Prepare medications for pharmacist verification, including counting, measuring, and labeling prescriptions.
- Maintain complete and confidential patient profiles, ensuring insurance and third-party billing details are accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate and package prescription deliveries.
Inventory Control & Logistics
- Manage daily and weekly inventory orders: receiving, unpacking, verifying, and stocking dispensary shelves.
- Perform regular stock rotations, check for expired products, and process returns to wholesalers.
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels of dispensary supplies (vials, compliance packs, labels, and bottles).
Customer Service & Communication
- Greet patients warmly, manage the drop-off and pick-up counters, and provide an excellent overall customer experience.
- Answer telephone calls efficiently, handle general inquiries, and triage clinical questions directly to the pharmacist.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail/community pharmacy setting is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Previous experience with TELUS Health Kroll software is considered a major asset. Candidates who can demonstrate a working knowledge of Kroll navigation and workflow will be prioritized.
- Billing Knowledge: Experience with Ontario third-party billing (ODB, Trillium, NIHB, private plans) is a strong asset.
- Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and a proven track record of minimized dispensing errors.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
Working Conditions
- Requires standing for extended periods in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Involves light to moderate lifting (unpacking inventory orders up to approximately 25 lbs).
- Uncompromising commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy under PIPEDA and PHIPA regulations.
Pay: $17.60-$22.00 per hour
