Sudbury Apartment Rentals is looking for a reliable, permanent, full-time Property Maintenance and Grounds Worker to join our team. Unlike typical seasonal landscaping roles, this is a year-round, permanent position offering steady hours and long-term stability.
You will be responsible for maintaining the curb appeal and safety of our residential apartment buildings spread across Greater Sudbury. In the spring and summer, the focus is on heavy lawn care and landscaping. In the fall and winter, the role transitions to snow management, salting, and assisting with interior/exterior building upkeep.
Because our buildings are located throughout the city, this is a mobile role. We provide gas/mileage reimbursement for all travel between work sites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Spring/Summer: Perform full lawn care across properties, including mowing, precision string trimming, edging, and clearing debris from parking lots and walkways.
- Fall/Winter: Manage snow removal and ice control (shoveling walkways, salting steps and entryways).
- Year-Round: Assist with general property upkeep, light maintenance tasks, litter clean-up, and ensuring the properties remain safe and clean for our tenants.
- Safely operate, load, and maintain all provided equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, snowblowers).
- Travel daily between various residential rental properties within the Greater Sudbury area.
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License (Required)
- Reliable personal vehicle suitable for traveling between local job sites (Required)
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in lawn care, landscaping, or basic property maintenance considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong reliability and punctuality (especially for winter snow clearance).
- Must be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all Northern Ontario weather conditions.
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
