We are a Food Service/Produce wholesaler based in Edmonton, AB. Our focus is on Fresh produce but also supply many non-produce items.
This job is for someone that likes variety in their day to day. Daily activities involve picking and building orders, receiving product, quality control and other relevant warehouse duties .
Role responsibilities and duties
- Handling stock with care to avoid damages
- Order picking of products and preparing shipments with attention to accuracy
- Be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as this job entails lifting on a regular basis
- Receiving shipments regularly checking off items against purchase orders and unpacking pallets
- Counting and organizing inventory
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Other warehouse duties as required
Qualifications/Job Requirements
- Knowledge of fresh produce would be an asset
- Team player who also works independently
- Some experience in a warehouse is an asset (minimum 1-2 years)
- Forklift/power jack/ reach truck experience considered an asset (willing to train)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Positive and friendly attitude, respectful and self-motivated
- Ability to read and converse in English
