The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026 when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

What We Do
The Managed Accounts Portfolio Services Group Analyst will support the Managed Accounts Portfolio Services team through investment research, due diligence related to know-your-product regulatory requirements, development of investment commentary, and assistance with portfolio construction and ongoing oversight.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen combined with excellent analytical and communication skills, enabling them to contribute to the development, implementation, and adoption of effective wealth portfolio management solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Product Research
Build, maintain, and communicate expert-level investment research on the investments held by -Managed Accounts clients, including the capital markets in which they invest.
Maintain appropriate know-your-product documentation for investment solutions leveraged by the Managed Accounts Portfolio Services Group.
Conduct ongoing product research to ensure Managed Accounts holds best-in-class investments for clients.
Develop and maintain expert knowledge of core Managed Accounts investments, including their strengths and weaknesses.
Maintain accurate investment positioning within portfolios across portfolio manager style, process, product attributes, and characteristics.
Monitor assigned products’ adherence to their stated investment objectives and guidelines.
Investment & Portfolio Optimization
Ensure Managed Accounts portfolios and underlying investments are optimally positioned to support client objectives and long-term success.
Apply deep investment product, market, and competitive category expertise to portfolio construction and optimization decisions
Analyze and communicate key drivers of performance and risk at both the individual investment and portfolio levels.
Assess suitability of investments across a range of portfolio objectives and client profiles, ensuring strategies are aligned with long-term Managed Accounts growth outcomes.
Client Communication Support
Prepare and review investment presentations and materials for existing and prospective Managed Accounts clients.
Support relationship management teams with timely responses to ad hoc client inquiries related to investments and portfolio positioning.
Contribute to the development and analysis of thought leadership and capital markets content for clients and prospects.
Deliver high-quality product and portfolio manager commentary through both periodic and ad hoc reports.
Occasionally participate in client discussions related to Managed Accounts investments.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
Coordinate with internal and external business partners (including Product, Relationship Managers, Dealer Compliance) as needed, including supporting the resolution of issues.
Demonstrate a high level of internal client service through timely, responsive, and appropriate support for relationship management requests related to investments and portfolios.
Provide Managed Accounts portfolio managers with competitive analysis and market intelligence to support optimal investment positioning and client outcomes.
Support Managed Accounts portfolio managers with investment analysis and materials for marketing initiatives and client interactions, tailored to the needs of specific audiences.
What We’re Looking For
Completion of University degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of relevant experience
Significant exposure to investment management due diligence and investment manager research.
Exposure to portfolio management, trading, compliance and/or investment operations for an asset manager or related entity
Designations such as CFA/BMA/CIM is an asset
What you will Bring
Strong understanding of investment product structures across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey moderately complex investment concepts to diverse audiences, including portfolio managers, relationship managers, and clients.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to quickly learn new concepts, products, and processes.
Proficiency with portfolio management and investment research tools commonly used in the financial services industry (e.g., Bloomberg, Morningstar).
Advanced technical skills, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with programming languages such as Python is a strong asset.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues and managing projects as they arise.
Strong attention to detail and process discipline, with the ability to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to investment guidelines and documentation standards.
Understanding of portfolio construction and investment suitability concepts, including how investments contribute to overall portfolio objectives and client outcomes

For this role, your total rewards include:
Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: Total annual cash compensation (base salary plus target bonus) ranges from $94,000 to $117,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
RRSP Contribution: After 6 months of employment, we invest in your future with an RRSP contribution—no employee matching required.
