About the Role
Exotic Surfaces is looking for an experienced Shop Manager to become the second-in-command of our growing company. This is a leadership role for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build a long-term career with a company that is growing rapidly.
You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our fabrication shop, support and lead our team, ensure every project leaves the shop to the highest standard, and become the go-to person for production.
If you’re a strong leader with experience in the stone industry but haven’t held a shop manager role before, we’re willing to train the right person into this position. We’re looking for attitude, work ethic, and long-term commitment just as much as experience.
Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the fabrication shop.
* Lead, mentor, and support fabrication and installation staff.
* Schedule templating, fabrication, and installation jobs efficiently.
* Review every project before it leaves the shop to ensure quality and accuracy.
* Troubleshoot production issues and solve problems quickly.
* Ensure deadlines are met while maintaining exceptional workmanship.
* Coordinate with the office, sales team, and installers to keep projects moving smoothly.
* Learn and become proficient in all company software and operating systems.
* Maintain organization, workflow, safety, and shop efficiency.
* Continuously look for ways to improve processes and productivity.
Qualifications
* Experience in the stone, countertop, or closely related construction industry is preferred.
* Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Comfortable using computers and willing to learn multiple software programs.
* Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* A proactive problem solver who takes ownership of their work.

Pay: $48,150.16-$112,062.46 per year
