Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shop Helper to support our manufacturing team. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a production environment, including operating a wide variety of commonly used shop equipment. The Shop Helper will assist with various tasks related to prepping material for fabricators, ensuring a smooth workflow. Candidates familiar with metric and imperial measurements are encouraged to apply, candidates with forklift certificates are heavily encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and loading of CNC laser cutting, and press brake machines.
- Support welding and assembly processes by preparing materials and components
- Use hand tools and calipers for measuring, fitting, and inspection tasks
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Support machining processes by assisting with CNC programming tasks as needed
- Help with inventory management of raw materials and finished goods.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes; prior experience in manufacturing or assembly is preferred, but not required.
- Experience or familiarity with CNC equipment, laser/plasma cutting, welding, or press brake operation is a plus
- A successful applicant will need to be sufficiently physically fit to be on their feet and lift upwards of 50 lbs for the duration of a 10 hour shift.
- A suitable candidate is able to work in both metric and imperial measurements and convert between them as needed; foundational math skills are needed.
- Ability to work safely around heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, and CNC equipment.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
