Owl Exteriors Inc. operates in Athabasca and services the surrounding area. We specialize in exterior finishes and also operate as a full-service construction company. Our expertise include residential and commercial projects, remodels, renovations, and new construction.
We are seeking a reliable and skilled labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, utilizing a range of tools and techniques to support skilled tradespeople. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge in construction-related tasks, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow within the industry. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and soft skills across multiple trades in a dynamic work environment.
Duties
- Assist tradesman with construction tasks.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Assist with demolition, restoration work, and site cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working around heavy equipment and construction hazards.
- Support estimations by gathering measurements and preparing materials for upcoming phases of construction projects.
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or related trades is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific tasks.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is a plus.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools and machinery is preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
