Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plaster and related materials to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes. This role requires a strong understanding of construction techniques, blueprint reading, and attention to detail. The Plasterer will work closely with other trades such as carpentry and painting to deliver durable and aesthetically pleasing results. Candidates with handyman experience and knowledge of caulking are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Apply plaster, stucco, and other finishing materials to walls, ceilings, and surfaces according to project specifications
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or repairing prior to plaster application
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate application
- Mix plaster and related materials to proper consistency for application
- Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other trades to coordinate project timelines
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety standards at all times
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality control, making necessary touch-ups or corrections
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting, carpentry, or plastering preferred
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and construction plans
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various trades
- Ability to perform caulking and surface sealing effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship
- Good physical stamina for working on ladders or scaffolding in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work on-site in different locations
