Overview
We are looking for hard-working individuals that are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment on their own, that are capable of multi-tasking and are self-motivated. The position is part-time and we require availability on weeknights and weekends for all shifts. (schedule changes weekly)
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ due to alcohol sales (this is a legal requirement, not a suggestion -please do not apply if you are not yet 18 because we cannot hire you)
- Must be Smart Serve Certified (Retail preferred)
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; OLG / alcohol / cigarette sales experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English;
- Basic math skills for cash handling, pricing, and transaction calculations
- Experience with POS systems, merchandising, and customer service best practices
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Duties
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process cash, and digital payments
- Handle UPS packages
- Check ID accurately
- Handle cash handling responsibilities with precision, including giving correct change and balancing register at shift end
- Accurately counting instant tickets at end of shift
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing products on shelves and displays
- Assist customers with inquiries about products, store policies
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times
- General cleaning
- Some heavy lifting
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
