RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary activities are listed below, but the incumbent (s) may be assigned to other duties as needed within the department, based on the needs of serving our customers.
Offer any guest of Downey’s an excellent shopping experience
Provide potential customers a great, non-confrontational shopping experience
Comfortable using social media to promote yourself and your products
Consultative, full disclosure selling approach
Assist potential customers by making it professional, fun, and easy
Keep up to date on training provided related to the Sales position ie; Customer Experience Training, Product Training
Approach, greet, and assist any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
Understand the terminology of the automobile business and be up to date with technological changes in the products.
Perform high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of new/used vehicles.
Report to the vehicle Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analysis.
Keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc.…, and how they benefit customers.
Attend sales meetings and training offered by the dealership and the manufacturer.
Maintain a prospect development system and an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business.
QUALIFICATIONS
Provide and maintain a valid driver's license, cleared drivers abstract and criminal background check
Outgoing with a friendly personality, with the abitility to handle objections & negotiating pricing
Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to speak to people and the desire to provide excellent customer service.
A great attitude! Positive thinking, a team player and enthusiastic with high energy throughout the sales workday
Willingness to learn best practices for completing sales activities that leads to results
Understand the terminology of the automobile business and stay up to date with technological changes in the products
Must have basic computer, internet and email experience and able to navigate with ease
Experience working in a dealership is considered an asset.
Social media knowledge and utilization is a must for above average sales results
Wanting to build a career in a people business, that sells some of the most exciting automobiles in history
Able to handle rejection, and keep moving forward looking for the win
