Position Overview
ACV Sewer & Water Inc. is seeking a dependable and experienced Sewer & Water Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will operate modern equipment and have the opportunity to expand their skills through hands-on training in all aspects of sewer and water installation. Compensation & Benefits

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a excavators for trenching, excavation, gravel placement, backfilling and digging around utilities.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and documentation
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and basic inspections
- Report equipment damage, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly
- Assist the crew with general labour and other tasks when equipment operation is not required
- Follow all Manitoba workplace safety regulations and company safety procedures
- Maintain a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and the public
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of machine operating experience, preferably in sewer and water construction
- Experience using a jackhammer
- Strong work ethic with a dependable and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willingness to work extended hours as required during the construction season
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Class 3 Driver's Licence with Air Brake endorsement is considered an asset
Employment Requirements

- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Reliable transportation to job sites throughout Winnipeg
- Ability and willingness to work extended days and Saturdays when required
