Avid Energy Services Inc. is currently hiring for a Hoe Operator around the Slave Lake area.
Job Details:
- Work location, various.
- Shift will vary depending on site
- Camp will be provided depending on project / site.
- Flight may be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to proficiently operate heavy equipment, Hoe's in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances, identify defects in heavy-duty equipment, communicate any unsafe conditions, incidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction and reporting.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other minor maintenance work.
- Perform pre-and post-trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety and road worthiness.
- Accurate completion of work orders and safety documentation.
- Adhere to all company and client safe work practices and policies.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work different shifts as needed, days / nights and rotations as required.
- 2 years +progressive experience as a Hoe Operator
- Excellent understanding of equipment safety and work practices
- Knowledge and firm understanding of equipment maintenance and storage.
- Knowledge of construction methods, road construction materials, remediation, reclamation practices an asset and industry requirements.
- Previous experience in road construction and maintenance techniques
-Experience with GPS systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to work in a fast - paced environment
- Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self directed.
- Possess a valid drivers license, clean drivers abstract
- Required Tickets : CSO/BSO, WHMIS, CSTS, Ground Disturbance II, H2S Alive, TDG, and First Aid.
-Must be able immediately eligible/able to work in Canada
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
