About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing end to end manufacturing performance across all processing facilities. This role plays a key part in translating business strategy into operational execution while ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality production.
The Manufacturing Manager will lead manufacturing excellence initiatives, optimize process capability, and provide technical leadership across extrusion, blending, packaging, and material handling systems. This position also supports leadership development within the operations team and drives continuous improvement throughout the organization
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing operations across safety, quality, production, and reliability targets
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, efficiency, and waste reduction
- Monitor production performance and KPIs including downtime, yields, throughput, and quality
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and lead root cause analysis for production issues
- Support process optimization, equipment commissioning, and production trials
- Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and preventative maintenance strategies
- Establish and maintain SOPs, manufacturing standards, and operational best practices
- Develop leadership and technical capability within Shift Supervisors and operations teams
- Help translate production demand into achievable manufacturing plans
- Champion a culture centered around safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Leadership experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or processing environment
- Strong operational mindset with the ability to improve systems and processes
- Technical aptitude with manufacturing or process equipment
- Confidence leading teams in fast-paced production environments
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- A hands-on leadership style with a focus on accountability and teamwork
- Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience is considered an asset
- Experience in feed manufacturing, extrusion, agriculture, or food processing is considered an asset
